Protegis Acquires PDS Systems of Columbus, OH

Cleveland, OH – Protegis Fire & Safety announced that it has completed the acquisition of Columbus OH-based PDS Systems, LLC (“PDS” or the “Company”) which adds to Protegis’ leading market position in Ohio.
Since its founding in 1994 by Phil Sisia, PDS Systems has been dedicated to being a one-stop-shop for its customers’ fire alarm and access control systems. This family-run business has specialized in the design of fire and smoke detection alarm systems, with NICET certified staff providing integration solutions to even the most challenging life-safety requirements. Through its “parts and smarts” model, PDS works with a wide range of electrical contractor partners, serving a large and impressive roster of Columbus customers.

Protegis Tech U is our all-new Technician Training & Development Program, established to provide opportunities for professional development, career planning and discipline specific training to Protegis’ technicians. Training is available in most fire protection disciplines, utilizing Protegis subject matter experts, industry approved training guides, and demonstrated training techniques to help support increased expertise, cross-disciplinary training, and advancement opportunities.

Who is eligible to participate?

Any Protegis technician who wants to improve their skillset and expand their knowledge! No matter what systems you focus on, there is always room for advancement in your career. Any tech who wants to improve his/her skill set or refresh their knowledge will be able to utilize this training.

What kind of training is offered?

Protegis Acquires Metro Fire Protection Services, Inc

Florida based Metro Fire Protection Services, Inc acquired by Protegis Fire & Safety. 

Cleveland, OH – Protegis Fire & Safety announced that it has completed the acquisition of Stuart, Florida-based Metro Fire Protection Services, Inc. (“Metro” or the “Company”) which significantly expands Protegis’ existing Florida operations. Like Protegis, Metro provides installation, inspection and repair services. Metro covers the full range of fire protection and life safety disciplines and serves commercial customers in a variety of end markets in Southeast Florida.

As a leading fire and life safety business in Southeast Florida, Metro was started in 1984 by Ron C. Lee and Phillip (Don) Paris. Douglas K. Crawford joined Ron and Don in 1993 and eventually became an owner in the Company. Doug will continue to lead the Company as a member of the Protegis team.
